Resources
If you need help right now
Mannvartan is not an emergency or crisis service. We do not monitor messages or bookings around the clock, and a booking request will not reach anyone immediately.
- Tele-MANAS — 14416 or 1800-891-4416. National, government-run, 24/7, multiple languages, free.
- Emergency services — 112.
- Your nearest hospital emergency department.
If you are supporting someone else in crisis, these lines will talk to you too.
A safety plan you can keep
A short form to fill in when you are feeling steady, so it is already written on a day when writing is hard. The crisis numbers are already on it.
It works best filled in with a practitioner — but it is yours either way, and you do not need an account to take it.
Download the safety planPlain text, a few kilobytes — it opens on any phone and you can type into it.

What we do not offer
- Psychiatry and prescriptions
- Nobody on Mannvartan can prescribe medication. If that is what you need, a psychiatrist is the right person and we are not a route to one — your GP or a hospital psychiatry department can refer you. A practitioner here will say so too if it comes up.
- Group sessions and retreats
- Not yet. Both are things we intend to offer and neither is available, so please do not wait for them if you need support now.
- Anything urgent
- We are not an emergency service and we do not monitor bookings around the clock. The numbers at the top of this page are answered 24 hours a day.
