About Mannvartan
A small, curated practice rather than a marketplace. Every practitioner here has been met in person or on a call, had their registration checked, and agreed to the same rules you read before you book.
How practitioners are chosen
Nobody lists themselves. A practitioner is invited, their qualifications and professional registration are checked against the issuing body, references are taken, and one of us talks to them about how they work before they appear. What they are listed as — clinical psychologist, counsellor, and so on — is set by us from that check, not chosen by them, because it is the line you read to judge what they can and cannot do.
A practitioner cannot appear on the roster until they can also be paid, so nobody here is someone we would take money for and then fail to pay. That is a rule in the database, not a policy.
What we do not do
- Prescribe
- Nobody on Mannvartan can prescribe medication. If that is what you need, a psychiatrist is the right person and we are not a route to one — a GP or a hospital psychiatry department can refer you. A practitioner here will say so too if it comes up.
- Emergencies
- We are not an emergency or crisis service. Bookings are not monitored around the clock and a booking request does not reach anyone immediately. If you need help now, Tele-MANAS on 14416 is free, national and answered 24 hours a day.
- Read your notes
- Your practitioner’s clinical notes are encrypted before they reach our database with a key only their session can use. Nobody at Mannvartan can read them — not support, not an administrator. If you ask us to erase your data, we destroy that key.
- Take your data abroad
- Everything is stored in India. Payments are processed in India. The one exception is the video call itself, which runs on Google Meet; the link is created by us and nothing about the session is stored there.
- Sell to you
- There is no subscription, no membership and no fee to join. You pay for sessions, at the practitioner’s own rate, when you book them.
