How it works
Nothing here needs a diagnosis, a referral or the right words. You choose a person, you choose a time, and you talk. This is what happens in between, and the small number of rules that keep it fair for you and for the practitioner.
Sign in with your phone
We send a six-digit code over WhatsApp. There is no password, and we never send SMS. You then tell us your name, your date of birth — Mannvartan is for adults — where you are billed, and, if you like, a sentence about what is going on. That sentence is only ever seen by the practitioner you book.
Agree to how we work together
One consent document, in plain language: what a session is and is not, how notes are kept, how your data is handled, and the booking rules below. You read and agree once; if it ever changes materially, we ask again.
Choose a practitioner
Everyone listed has been met and vetted by us — registration checked, references taken, a conversation had. Filter by what you need help with, the languages you are comfortable in, and how they work. Each profile shows their qualifications, experience, approach and price, kept separate from each other on purpose.
Pick a time and pay
Times are shown in your own timezone. Pay by UPI, card or net banking through Razorpay; we never see your card details. You see one price, in your own currency, and that is what binds — the checkout tells you exactly what your card will be debited before you confirm. A receipt arrives by email.
Join the session
Sessions are online, over Google Meet. The link is in your confirmation email and in a calendar invitation sent to both of you, and it works in a browser — nothing to install. You get a reminder the day before and shortly before. Sessions are never recorded.
The rules
Stated before you pay, not buried in terms and then enforced. There are five.
- Moving a session: free up to 24 hours before
- Change the time as often as you like until 24 hours before it starts. Inside 24 hours the session counts as used and cannot be refunded or moved — your practitioner has kept that hour for you. So if you already know a time will not work, move it now rather than later.
- If your practitioner cancels, you lose nothing
- The session goes straight back to your balance, and you also receive a credit towards your next booking. Their cancellation is never your cost.
- Packages: pay once, book as you go, 10% off
- A package of sessions is paid for once and used over time. You are never charged again as you book the rest. Packages are valid for ten days per session — a six-session package for 60 days, a twelve-session one for 120 — with a minimum of 45 and a maximum of 180 days. We remind you 14 days and 3 days before a package expires. Sessions unused at expiry cannot be refunded, which is why the reminders matter more than the rule.
- Assessments are booked on their own
- Some clinical psychologists offer a formal assessment — longer, with a written report, and priced separately from a session. It is booked and paid for on its own; a session from a package cannot be used for it.
- No cash refunds
- Where something is owed to you it comes back as a credit against a future booking. The exception is a payment that failed or was taken in error, which is refunded to the card.
Your privacy, briefly
Your practitioner keeps clinical notes. They are encrypted before they reach our database, with a key only their session can use, so nobody at Mannvartan can read them — not support, not an administrator, not us. If you ask us to erase your data, we destroy that key.
Everything is stored in India. Reminders on WhatsApp never say what kind of session it is or with whom, because a lock screen is not private. The detail goes in email.
The full picture — what we hold, why, for how long, and how to ask for it or have it erased — is on the privacy page.
Ready when you are
Profiles, availability and rates are visible once you have an account. It takes a phone number and about two minutes.
If you need help right now
Mannvartan is not an emergency or crisis service. We do not monitor messages or bookings around the clock, and a booking request will not reach anyone immediately.
- Tele-MANAS — 14416 or 1800-891-4416. National, government-run, 24/7, multiple languages, free.
- Emergency services — 112.
- Your nearest hospital emergency department.
If you are supporting someone else in crisis, these lines will talk to you too.
